Sara L. Williams will be presented as Woman of the Year and Hugo Cortez Hernandez will be presented as Man of the Year. The nomination committee elected to present Donald R. Livermore with the Lifetime of Service Award.
The awards will be presented on Saturday, September 19th, at the Springhill Suites, The Dunes on Monterey Bay, 215 10th St. Marina, CA 93933. Dinner tickets are available below.

The Marina Foundation is proud to continue the annual Marina Man and Woman of the Year awards, a long-running community awards program, previously established by the Marina Chamber of Commerce. This event recognizes two outstanding Marina citizens who have served the Marina community with distinction during the calendar year and over a period of years. The awards have grown to include the Lifetime of Service Award for the Marina Community.
Highlights & Impact
- In 2026 the awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, September 19th at Marina Spring Hill Suites.
- Members of the public make the nominations; past recipients review the nominations and decide who should win.
- The previous year’s recipients present the awards to the current year’s recipients.
- The Marina Man and Woman of the Year awards ceremony is the only general fundraiser held by The Marina Foundation and includes a silent auction.
